PAIN CLINIC
The Danish Pain Research Center (DPRC) is the center for experimental and clinical research at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. The Center is located in nice surroundings at Aarhus Sygehus which is part of Aarhus University Hospital.

The Danish Pain Research Center was formed and associated with the Institute of Clinical Medicine in 1994.

The Center is active in a number of research areas including:
  • Neuronal consequences of amputation.
  • Plastic changes in the nervous system following acute and chronic pain using PET and fMRI       techniques.
  • Experimental and clinical studies on musculoskeletal disorders including head and neck pain
         and whiplash.
  • Cognitive dysfunction in pain.
  • Various reflex measures and quantitive studies using electronic equipment for measuring
         sensitivity.
  • Pharmacological manipulations and controlled clinical trials on pain.
  • Experimental nerve lesions and other animal studies.
